Stephen Wilson Norris, 62, of Orchidland Estates, Keaau, died July 27 at a private care home. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, he was a musician, carpenter and member of Puna Baptist Church. Celebration of life 10 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 19) at Puna Baptist Church in Pahoa. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by brothers, David Norris, Ian Norris and Nelson Norris; sister, Corrine Mary Green-Rice. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Thomas G. Rogers, 72, of Hilo died June 15 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Oregon. No services. No known survivors. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Bob Masami Sato, 92, of Hilo died July 31 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Kukuihaele, he was a retired masonry contractor, U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of Taishoji Soto Mission and Niigata Kenjin Kai. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by wife, Mildred Sato of Hilo; sons, Melvyn Sato and Lesley Sato of Hilo; daughter, Lyndee (Brian) Yoneishi of Hilo; sisters, Mildred Sakata and Gladys (Henry) Shimata of Honolulu; brother-in-law, Michio Iyo of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Gay Herrington of Rhode Island and Hirono Haraguchi of Hilo; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and cousins.
